AHH!! Disasters!

Oh dear!

Because of the 8.8 earthquake in Santiago, the airport is not in working order so we don't get to fly in on March 3rd like planned. Now we have an undetermined fly in date which is more than nerve-racking. I have to change my ticket to an undetermined fly-out date... darn earthquakes!

Well I guess all I can do is wait. I hope everyone in Santiago, Valparaíso, and Viña del Mar is safe and okay!

Exciting new update of sorts!

I have my passport complete with visa!!! After a trip to Chicago on Friday, staying in Milwaukee on Thursday and Friday night, I finally have my passport back and can relax a little!

On the other hand I have lots to do still, my room is a disaster of unpacked stuff from college (yes I've been home for weeks) and other piles of clothes and various other items for Chile! I also need to go buy some stuff: soap, toothbrush, etc. and get everything together. Also need to find traveler's checks, finish/start my taxes and figure out credit card and phone stuff! I'm hoping to start in with the clothes tomorrow and get that nailed down!

Well, these blogs are rather dull as I'm still stuck in snowy Minnesota but hopefully exciting news to come in a little more than 2 weeks! ^_^

First Try

Hello everyone!
I am about to try my hand at blogging, so here goes.

Although I am exactly a month out from leaving, I have started getting ready here at home! I have been unpacking school stuff and making lists of things to do before I leave! Next week I have to go to Chicago to pick up my Visa/passport!!!

Well that's all for now! Back to cleaning and getting stuff together! ^_^
